Mohamed Salah shuts down his critics!

 



Forward Mohamed Salah of Liverpool and Egypt has received criticism from experts for his lackluster performance so far this year.

While Manchester City's Erling Haaland scores goals for pleasure, Liverpool, Manchester City's contender for the Premier League title, is not having much success with Salah.

In six Premier League games so far this season, Salah has 'only' two goals and two assists for Jurgen Klopp's team.

The 30-year-old attacker has one goal this season for Liverpool in two UEFA Champions League games.

Even if Salah's statistics are not at all subpar, there have nevertheless been detractors, perhaps as a result of the high expectations he has established over the years.

Graeme Souness, a former Liverpool icon, and former Arsenal player Paul Merson are among those who have questioned Salah's performance this year.

Salah often lets his play speak for itself, and Friday evening he responded to his detractors in excellent manner.

The former Chelsea player helped Egypt defeat Niger 3-0 this evening with two goals.

In the 43rd minute, Salah scored his first goal of the game by putting the ball in the back of the net with his left foot from the center of the box.

Midway through the second half, the Liverpool star converted a penalty to score his second goal of the game.
