Zakaria joined Chelsea on the final day of the summer transfer window but has yet to make a single appearance for the team or be named to a single Premier League matchday squad.
Chelsea want to return Zakaria to former club Juventus, but the Serie A club is under no obligation to do so. Instead, the Blues are hoping that Massimiliano Allegri, the current Juve manager, is fired before the January transfer window and that his potential successor would be interested in bringing Zakaria back.
When the January transfer market opens, Chelsea is reportedly planning to sell Ziyech as well.
The sources stated that the Moroccan international is once again free to quit the club in January. He was on the margins under former boss Thomas Tuchel and has struggled for minutes under Potter.
